“…For the first time we had the chance to listen to “Sabor a tango”, the tango orchestra from Berlin.
Ten first-class musicians presented the typical tango orchestra – four bandoneones, four violins, a double bass and a piano – with a broad and varied repertoire, which took us from the hall tango to the young tango of the new generation. In very few occasions like this one have happiness and melancholy, beaten rhythms and sweet melodies come so close to each other.

“Sabor a tango” was founded two years ago by Peter Reil and Robert Schmidt. Peter Reil, one of the most outstanding bandoneon players in Germany, took lessons with well-known masters as Rodolfo Medeiros and Juan José Mosalini. Not only Peter Reil but also Robert Schmidt, who is in turn one of the highest leveled tango pianists, were members of several international tango formations...”
